Son of Marcus "Mark" Alexander and Alice (Middick) of Lampasas, TX. Chester operated a household appliance store as well as a stock ranch. In 1915 he married Fae Oliver, daughter of John Kyle Oliver and Carrie (Faires) of Burnet, TX.

On the evening of the 6th at 9 o'clock Mr. W.C. Alexander and Miss Fae Oliver were quietly married at the residence of Rev. D.R. Hardison. The young man is one of the best young men, and is now engaged with G.W. Clements. Miss Fae is a very worthy young lady and is loved by a host of friends. Many sincere good wishes follow them.
