Alvin Carlton Anglin was born in Wilkes Ga. To "BIG MA" Lola Elmira Cheatham (Anglin) and Emory spear Anglin. He died at the age of 81 at Crisp Reginal Hospital, Cordele Ga, Crisp cty. due to heart fail (was also on kidney dialisis). Buried at Snow Ridge Cem, Ashburn Ga, Turner cty. beside his wife Nell Earline (Sumner) Anglin (who is beside her daughter Dorothy Louise (Anglin) Barfield. He was a long haul truck driver for 35 years. He was president of the Half Moon Lake Association in Melrose Fla where he lived from early 1970's to early 1980's. He served as deputy sheriff in the Crisp county court house of Cordele Ga for 3 years as a bailiff. He enjoyed attending Mt.Zion church near his home in Cordele Ga. His favorite breed of dog was german shepard. He never would tell his grandchildren his special ingredients to what he called his world famous sock soup nor his tasty bar-b-que sauce.
He is father to Dorothy Louise (Anglin) Barfield, Kelsey Patricia (Anglin) Pipkin Gibson and Lyndel Marie Anglin died age 18mo of pnuemonia born and buried in Macon Ga, cemetery unknown as yet.
