Josephine's parents were Caspar Andes & "Frances" Fredrika Leman. Caspar came from Hesse-Darmstadt & Fredrika Leman from Baden, both Germany.
Josephine E. Andes married William Tilden Lake, Jr. on Sep 11, 1889 at Greenwood Baptist Church, 4th Av. & 15th St. (Park Slope), Brooklyn, NY by the Rev. Robert B. Hull. They had a son, Albert Elmore Lake, and a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Ada Lake Acker, who survived into adult-hood and both married.
