Junior Roy Lee departed this life on Thursday morning, March 25, 2010, in the home of his daughter Sharon Starkey Reickenbacker. He was 85 years old.

Mr. Lee was born December 31, 1924, Bee Branch, Arkansas, the oldest son born to Roy Lee and Cora French Lee.

Junior married Francis Lorene Williams on August 30, 1946, and began a love affair that lasted almost 54 years until her death on April 8, 2000. Family was always a focus in the home to both of them.

Their first church home was in Damascus, Arkansas, where he faithfully served as a deacon leading services each Sunday. Then they became members for more than 30 years of the First United Methodist Church in Harrison, Arkansas.

Early in life he was a foreman at International Shoe Company in Conway, Arkansas for more than 10 years. Junior then moved his family to Mountain Home to help his sister Vernelle Hudspeth operate the Holiday Inn for 9 years. Afterwards he moved to Harrison to own and operate Hudspeth Motors for 20 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was an avid bird hunter. He spent many years raising and training his bird dogs, which was another love of his life.

One of the things he, his wife and his sister, enjoyed was traveling. They traveled all over the world climbing the Great Wall of China, riding camels around the Great Pyramids in Egypt and whale watching in the Hawaiian Islands.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Cora Lee, his wife Lorene Williams Lee, his son James Earl Lee and his sister Vernelle Hudspeth.
