Nell Hudspeth, age 81, of Mt. Home, Arkansas, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was born December 15, 1922, in Bee Branch, Arkansas, the daughter of Roy C. and Cora (French) Lee. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Home, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nell Hudspeth attended Southside School and was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College. She taught in the Gould, Arkansas school system for twenty years and at the Harrison High School for five years. In 1970, Nell moved to Mt. Home where she owned and operated the Holiday Inn. She presently owned and operated the Baxter Inn in Mt. Home. She was a member of the Holiday Inn Innkeepers Association for thirty two years. She was a life long member of the Democratic Party and traveled the world extensively.

Nell Hudspeth is survived by her brother, Junior Lee, of Harrison; her niece, Sharon Starkey, and her family, son, Shain Satterwhite and his wife Tammy, their children, Addison and Stella Satterwhite; and her daughter, Christina Hughes, all of Harrison; her step-brother and his wife, Richard and Cleone Porter, of Big Sandy, Texas; her niece, Patricia Moore, of Roseville, California, and her family, Shonda Airheart and her husband Frank; and Nicole Moore; and a host of friends throughout the community.

Dr. Russell R. Moore will officiate the 2:00 PM, funeral service at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Home and Dr. Don Hall will officiate the 4:30 PM, graveside service at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers are Hudspeth Motors, Harrison, Arkansas and Baxter Inn, Mt. Home, Arkansas.
