Carroll, the son of Roy Edward Rogers and Victoria Minerva Burns, married Ollie Muriel Bailey on 22 Jul 1950. Carroll and Muriel had the following children: Deborah Yvonne, Daphne elaine, Vicki Frances, Karen Faye, Felicia Anne, and Toni Marie.

Carroll, who was living in Troup for 8 years at the time of his death, died in a Tyler hospital. He was formerly of Clarksville. The obit notes that Carroll was manager of Lynn's Variety Store and had worked for the Ben Franklin Stores, Perry Brothers and Duke and Ayres Variety Stores.

Funeral services were held at the Cottle Funeral Home Chapel in Troup with the Rev. Bruce Perkins officiating. Graveside services and burial were at Lane's Chapel Cemetery near Clarksville. Jolley's Funeral Home has charge of local services.

The obituary lists the following survivors: his wife, Muriel; six daughters, Debra Reasoner of Levelland, Daphne Handrix of Broken Bow, Okla., Vicki Roe of Seminole, Karen Lowe and Toni Rogers, both of Troup, and Felicia Schell of Tyler; 10 grandchildren.
