Dr. John Taliaferro was the son of Capt. Richard Taliaferro and Rose Berryman. He married Mary Harden about 1755. He was a revolutionary war soldier and was a Baptist Minister. Prior to his death, he married Lydia Howard In Wilkinson County, Georgia.He is listed as a Revolutionary War Captain of Virginia Battalion.

In his will, Children: Rose, Elizabeth, Ann, Judith, Mary, Bethethland, Lucy, Sons; Richard, Charles & Benjamin, Richard's Daughter's Jean, Mary, Judy.

Information taken from Historic Books, Writings, Wills of Wilkinson County. They have said he is buried here, although I have seen another Memorial w/ a Picture at a different Cemetery.
