EDWARD GOEBEL, GROCER EXPIRES - DEATH FOLLOWS LINGERING ILLNESS - AT RESIDENCE, EAST ELM STREET - WAS MEMBER OF HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC CHURCH
Edward L. Goebel, 53, operator of a grocery for three years at 1747 East Elm Street, died at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night in his home, following a lingering illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Goebel; four sons, William of Georgetown, Ky, Cyril and Leo both of Frankfort, Ky. and Joseph of this city; two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Sorrell and Miss Mary Catherine Goebel, both of New Albany; a brother Robert Goebel of Louisville; a sister, Sister Mary Felecian of El Paso, Tex., and seven grandchildren. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, New Albany. The body is at the George A. Kraft Parlors, 707 East Spring Street. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at the church. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, Ky.
