A former Wellington woman, Mrs. Lula Fisher, 96, died Wednesday, June 13, in Vivian's Nursing Home, Amarillo. She had been a patient there three and one-half years and an Amarillo resident 20 years.

Mrs. Fisher came here with her family n 1921, from Johnson County and remained until 1953.

The former Lula Toomer, she was born in Mississippi, February 27, 1877, the daughter of the late John Wiley and Sarah Catherine Wallace Toomer. She was a Methodist. Her husband, J.D. Fisher, died in 1951.

Survivors are two sons, W.R. Fisher of Skellytown, and J.E. Fisher of Amarillo; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Minty of Sulphur Springs, Mrs. W.O. Sears of Waco, and Mrs. Alton Sorrells of Hereford; a brother, Ross Toomer of Denton; a sister, Mrs. Nola Langley of Abilene; 9 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
