Ada Crain moved to the Proffitt community in 1948 from Fort Worth, Texas. She was living with a daughter at the time of her death on the Murray Route. Ada was a faithful member of the Proffitt Baptist church.

Denton of Proffitt and Mrs. Hattie Crain of Sherman; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
