Miss Ada C. Dial married William Young Crain on 24 December 1885 at hunt County, Texas. He preceded in death in 1914.

Ada Crain moved to the Proffitt community in 1948 from Fort Worth, Texas. She was living with a daughter at the time of her death on the Murray Route. Ada was a faithful member of the Proffitt Baptist church.

Survived by five daughters - Mrs. Mabel Wells of Proffitt, Mrs. Frank Cole of Sterling City, Mrs. P.O. Mills of San Angelo, Mrs. Paul George and Mrs. Bobbie DeVinney, both of Fort Worth; two sons - M.A. Crain of Proffitt and Todd Crain of San Angelo; two sisters - Mrs. Mollie C. Denton of Proffitt and Mrs. Hattie Crain of Sherman; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
