Charles T. Carter, 92, of Morristown, passed away April 1 at Heritage Center.

He was the son of the late James A. and Rachel McClanahan Carter.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Kimbrough Carter; daughter, Jewel Dean Inman; son, Bill H. Carter; second wife, Helen Dickerson Carter; brothers, Boyd, Lloyd, Porter, Eleck, Oliver, Robert, Hubert, Billy, Dewey, and Luther; and sister, Martha Jane Corbett.

Sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Barbara Carter and Robert Lee and Fredda Carter, daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Jean and Jesse King and Dorothy M. and Frank Seals, stepson, James Roach, 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Lane; brother, Clifford Carter,and several nieces and nephews.
