Was retired from the Indiana Highway Dept. & was a member of the Kentucky Ridge Baptist Church. An avid Hunter and Sportsman.
Was the Son of James and Rachel (McClanahan) Carter. Husband of Mary Alice (Barnes) Carter who passed away in 1993. Was preceded in death by 3 Sons Roger G. Carter, John E. Carter and Luther Samual Carter. Also had Son Fred Carter of Bloomfield and 2 Daughters; Barbara (Carter) Roberts and Vina (Carter) Swango both of Bloomfield, In.
Enjoyed Hunting and Trap Shooting and was always glad to help any one learn about Shooting Sports and Gun Safety. Made many of the young people in the area better and safer at using guns.
