Moses Oller Dies at the Age of 77
Assessor of Johnson Township for Many Years
Moses Oller, a prominent farmer of Johnson Township, died Tuesday night at 11:40 o'clock at the home of his son, Wesley H. Oller, of this city, at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 15 days. He died of the infirmities of old age.
Moses Oller was born at Columbus Ohio, October 11, 1845. On the day that he was ten years old one of his arms was amputated. When he was 19 years of age he moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Oller, to Johnson Township, where he lived the rest of his life. At the age of 24 he married Aca Parrill. He followed the occupation of a farmer, and was assessor of Johnson Township for 45 years.
He is survived by eight children, John E. Oller of Johnson township; Wesley H. and Will Oller of Taylorville, Oral and Moses Oller, Mrs. Albert Peden, Mrs. Roscoe and Mrs. Albert Brewer who lives in Kansas. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Christian church in Taylorville, the Rev. I. N. Grisso officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson cemetery in Johnson Township.
