Henry Hess Oller was born November 1, 1818 in Ohio. He married Sally Ann Eversole December 17, 1840. They had a boy and a girl, the boy dying young. Henry Hess Oller married a second wife, Mary Freese, in Delaware County, Ohio January 2, 1845. They moved to Christian County, Illinois, and had six more children. Two died as infants and a son, Henry, died at age 17. Henry was a farmer. According to his tombstone, Henry died February 5, 1893 in Johnson Township.
