Amanda Bearden
Amanda B. Bearden, 74, Springfield, died at 7:59 p.m. Wednesday in St. John's Regional Health Center. A longtime member of High Street Baptist, Church, she had served as president of the Grandmothers Club and was a mem­ber of Springfield All Church Singles Club. She was employed by
Neff's Ladies Appareil. She was preceded
in death by her husband, C.C. Bearden; her parents, Herman
and Aliza Culp; and an infant daughter. Faith. Survivors in­ clude four sons, Fran­cis, Twinsberg, Ohio, Harvey and Johnny, both of Springfield, and Gerald, Roland, Iowa; three daugh­ters, Charlene Bridges, Fair Grove, Christy Colley, Tulsa, Okla., and Cindy McMillian, Springifield; a brother, Jerry Culp, Springfield; two sisters, Helen Bain,
Moore, Okla., and Agnes Slavens, Spring­field; 17 grandchil­
dren; and five great­ grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in High Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Rogers and Steve Ward officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
