Leah D. Cross, age 63, of Council Bluffs, passed away on Tuesday at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Lanchester, Wis. to Jesse and Dorothy (Wilcox) Baker. She graduated from UNO with Masters Degree. She served in the US Army from 1965 � 1972. She worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for UNO for 15 years. She married Howard Cross on December 3, 1966. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church, VFW Post 737 Ladies Auxiliary, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and the Democratic Party Caucus.

Leah was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; father, Jesse Baker.

She is survived by 3 sons, Howard and wife, Kim Cross of Everly, Iowa, Kein of New York City, Jon and wife, Brandy of Council Bluffs; daughter, Leah Kay Kile of Nekahmah, Okla.; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Baker; sister, Diana McKinsey of Council Bluffs; brother, George Baker of Omaha and other relatives.

Funeral Service on Saturday, at 11 a.m. at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family one hour prior to the service. Memorials to Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
