Age 76 of Horseheads, NY on April 6, 1997 at her home. Mrs. Dailey was predeceased by her husband, Edwin J. Dailley in 1984 and her brother, Raymond Jennings in 1986. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Jennings of West Burlington, Pa; niece, Evelyn (Dan) Updike of Hamlin, NY; nephew, Harry Jennings of Tampa, Fl; great-nieces, Mattie (Joel) Zarpentine of Holley, NY, Brenda (Brian) Davis of Italy; great-nephew, Dan Updike of Gillett, Pa, Bradley Jennings of Fl; special great-great nephew, Eli Zarpentine at home, dear friends Irene Radaker of Horseheads, Andy Vargason of Elmira Heights, Jeanine & Raymond Perine of Owego; and numerous card playing Euchre buddies. Effie was born Nov. 7, 1920 the daughter of Harry & Ethel (Austin) Jennings. She had worked as an assembler at Remington Rand in Elmira. Friends are invited to call at the Barber FH, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads, On Wed. from 1-3 pm. Funeral and commital services will take place in the funeral home. The Rev. E. Gene Callihan will officiate. Interment Forest Lawn Mem Park at the conv. of the family. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may express their sympathy through memorials in Mrs. Dailey's name to the Chemung Co. SPCA,or a charity of their choice. The family would like to express their deep gratitute for Dr. Robert Mauri and the nurses in Outpatient Oncology at St. Joseph's Hosp. for their exceptional care and kindness
