JENNINGS, RAYMOND S., Raymond S. (Hi) Jennings, 61, of Troy RD3, died October 28, 1986 as the result of a highway accident. He was born July 2, 1925 in West Burlington Township, the son of Harry and Ethel Austin Jennings. Mr. Jennings was a farmer and a member of the West Burlington Methodist Church. He was a former baseball player and an avid baseball fan. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Eleanor Chapman Jennings; son, Harry Jennings of Largo, FL; daughter, Mrs. Dan (Evelyn) Updike of Hamlin, NY; sister, Mrs. Edwin (Effie) Dailey of Horseheads; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on October 31 with Rev. Edward Thigpen officiating and burial to be in Franklin Center Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Burlington Methodist Church. (TGR Nov. 6, 1986)
