In 1837 Henry W. Burroughs is in Martin County, North Carolina, he is selling land to a John Smith and wife(possibly Henry's sister and brother in law) the land was part of the estate of Anthony Agustus Burroughs, son of Benjamen,( we believe this to be Henry's father, but no proof at this date). In 1840 Henry is in Haywood County with 2 sons, Nymphas and Noel. Henry is on the 1850 census in Dyer County Tennessee and the 1860 census in Van Buren County Arkansas. In some of the censuses his name is spelled Burris or Burrows. Other children of Henry and Charlotte are,Noel Samuel Burroughs, Martha Burroughs, Sally Burroughs Fergurson, John T.Burroughs. They also raise Sally's dughter Charlotte Fergurson as their daughter after Sally died.
