He is survived by four sons, Edgar Lagman, Eugene Lagman, Wayne Lagman and David Lagman; two daughters, Sharon Adams and Patricia Hebert; brothers, Alfred Lagman and Louis Lagman; sister, Callie Mae Dufrene; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Farve Lagman.
Lagman was a lifetime member of American Legion. He was a past commander of Post 288 and a member of Post 0374 of Slidell. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5174 and of St. Margaret Mary Church of Slidell. He served with the U.S. Army 962nd Air Engineer Squadron.
A wake will be held from 6-10 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Louisiana Highway 41, and services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
("Brother" lived for many years in Bucktown (New Orleans) and made his living shrimping and crabing. The Times Picyune once wrote a story of Bucktown and referred to Edgar as the "Mayor of Bucktown". He was a sweet and gentle man with a big heart.)
