Graveside services and interment for Elsie M. Walea Watson, 67, of Athens, are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Athens Cemetery, with Rev. Cody Craig officiating, under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Mrs. Watson passed away, November 28, 2008 in a Tyler hospital.
She was born July 8, 1941 in Orange, Texas to the late Robert Warren and Ella Mae Davis Walea. She married Roy E. Watson, August 22, 1957.
Mrs. Watson had been a resident of Athens since 1963, and formerly lived in Jasper. She was very dedicated to her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to paint and fish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Keith R. Watson, August 31, 2001, her granddaughter, Kelsie Watson, August 31, 2001.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Roy E. Watson, Athens, daughter and son in law, Rebecca and Joe Ed Young, LaRue, grandchildren, Brandon Young and his wife Alana, LaRue, Chandon Young, Waco, Kourtney Watson, Athens, great grandchildren, Caden Young, Keaton Young, Emma Young, Ayrianna Young, all of LaRue, sister, Joe Evelyn Comte, Kirbyville.
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Ed Young, Brandon Young, Chandon Young, Kourtney Watson, Wendell Randolph, Eric Watson, and Anthony Williams.
