HARDINSBURG -- Ralph Owen Mattingly, 73, of Hardinsburg died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at Medco Center in Hardinsburg. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church. Survivors include three sons, Tim Mattingly, Mike Mattingly and Doug Mattingly; two daughters, Debbie Johnson and Brenda Rooney; and two sisters, Gina Hall and Wanda Mitchell. Services: Noon today at St. Romuald Catholic Church in Hardinsburg. Burial: Church cemetery. Visitation: From 10 to 11:45 A.M. today at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.

He was born May 8, 1932 in Breckinridge County, a son of Frank & Lucille Pate Mattingly. He was a heavy equipment operator & a member of St Romuald Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Mattingly & a brother, Donney Mattingly. Mr Mattingly is survived by 3 sons, Tim Mattingly of Greenwood, IN, Mike Mattingly of Orlando, FL & Doug Mattingly of Kissimee, FL; 2 daughters, Brenda Rooney of Indianapolis, IN & Debbie Johnson of Franklin, IN; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren & 2 sisters, Gina Hall of Hardinsburg & Wanda Mitchell of Floyds Knobs, IN. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10 at St Romuald Catholic Church with Father Tony Bickett officiating. Burial was in St Romuald Cemetery under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
