Columbus- Ella A. Bell, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Columbus Nursing & Rehab. Center. She was born on January 22, 1922 in Lena, WI the daughter of Ralph & Louise (Ducat) Hansel.

Ella was united in marriage to Ward Bell on December 27, 1943 in Granada, Miss. and he preceded her in death on January 22, 1976.

Mrs. Bell taught school for many years in Oconto & Brown County as a one room school teacher.

She is survived by her children, Bruce (Dayna) Bell, Sun Prairie, Greg Bell, Green Bay and Scott (Ellen) Bell, Ingleside, IL; grandchildren, Steve (Sarah Dimick) Bell, Waunakee, Christopher (Elizabeth) Bell, Cumming, GA and Lisa Bell, Ingleside,IL; great grandchildren, Justin Bell & Lucas Bell; sisters, Virginia Garrigan, Coleman, WI and Ruby Schuessler, Rockford, IL; brother, Robert Hansel, Appleton; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Stella Eilts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, WI. Burial will be held in Fort Howard Memorial Park Cemetery, Green Bay. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
