C. G. Deviney, 74, of Pitcairn, former resident of Philipsburg, died at his home Sunday April 11.
He was born in Philipsburg, a son of A. H. and Myrah Deviney and is survived by his widow, the former Rella Flegal of Philipsburg and the following children:
Mrs Alma Crowell and Lyle of Pitcairn; Mrs Gladys Seiber, Prospect Park; Mrs Delfa Steel, California and Mrs. Rella Patterson of Chicago, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held from the Philipsburg Evangelical United Brethren Church Thursday at 2 o'clock. Rev A T Moffat, pastor of EUB Church in Pitcairn will officiate, assisted by Rev E B Learish, pastor of the local church. Internment will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the EUB Church Thursday morning until time of the funeral Thursday.
