Mrs Vera Belle Hoffer, wife of B.F. Hoffer, of Philipsburg, died yesterday at 5:30am in the Philipsburg State Hospital where she has been a patient for nearly two months, as a result of a fall early in August that fractured her leg and pelvis.
A native of Snow Shoe, the former Vera Belle Devinney had lived most of her life in Philipsburg where she was married in 1899. Mrs Hoffer was a member of the Philipsburg Lutheran Church and organized the Philipsburg State Hospital Junior Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm from the Beezer Funeral Home in Philipsburg, Rev E L Pee officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
