Her parents are John Fields and Polly Allie (Wilson) Fields. Her 1st marraige was to Enoch Lucas abt 1890. Enoch's died when my g-grandfather James Phillip Lucas and my g-uncle Willie Lucas were small boys. She remarried to Enoch's brother William Lucas abt 1900. William died a few years later from issues related to rabies. She then remarried James J Monson abt 1902.
Her son Willie died during WWI and was originally buried in France. For awhile she did not believe he was killed in the war but believed Uncle Sam killed him as she believed that he was a real person. She constantly requested for his body to be returned to her and sometime around 1923 he was finally returned to the states and was laid to rest in Bracken Co., Kentucky.
