Elizabeth L. Botkin, 94, Topeka, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at a Topeka nursing home. She was born June 12, 1910, in Carbondale, to John H. and Minnie Smith Nicol.

She lived most of her life in the Topeka area. Mrs. Botkin was a foster grandparent at KNI for more than 20 years.

She married Cecil Botkin on Sept. 10, 1928. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1970.

Survivors include a stepson, Cecil Botkin Jr., in Kentucky; three sisters, Lucille Elliott, Harrison, Ark., and Galena Dachenhausen and Dorothy Sturgis, both of Topeka; two brothers, John and Melvin Nicol, both of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
