Cecil Botkin
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ted Tibbitts Mortuary for Cecil Alexander Botkin, 83, 1809 Morrison, who died Monday in Topeka hospital where he was readmitted October 31. He had been admitted to the same hospital Sept 19 and released. He had a heart ailment and apparently suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Friday. He was born Dec. 22, 1886, at Circleville, and lived in Topeka 42 years. He attended the Free Methodist Church. He owned and operated the Topeka Window Cleaning Co. before he retired. He was married to the former Elizabeth Nicol. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Merle Botkin, Los Lunas, N.M., Albert Botkin, Lebo, and Cecil Botkin, Jr., Emporia; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Short, Red Cloud, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Botkin will lie in state Tuesday at the mortuary.
