Charles V. Duncan
Charles Virgil Duncan, 75, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 14, 1922 near Allensburg, the son of Otis and Rose (Judy) Duncan. He retired after 32 years as a machine operator for the Irwin Auger Bit Co.; was a World War II veteran; a member of Allensburg Church of Christ; Lynchburg V.F.W Post 4794; and the Highland County Senior Citizens.
He is survived by his wife, June (Kier) Duncan, whom he married June 2, 1946; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Connie Duncan of Blanchester; one sister, Louise Duncan of Hillsboro; three granddaughters, Case Duncan, Blake Goldie and Veronica Duncan; two step grandchildren, Tasha Lindsey and Timothy Croghan; and four step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Hanson, Mitchell, Bill and Delbert Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg, with Bob Stevens officiating. Burial will follow in Troutwine Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
