June P. Duncan, 88, of Lynchburg passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at her home.
She was born the daughter of the late Frank and Lala (Hawk) Kier on Oct. 8, 1928. June worked as a cook for Lynchburg-Clay schools for 30 years and was a faithful member of the Allensburg Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Ron (Connie) Duncan of New Vienna; three granddaughters, Casey Duncan, Blake (Bobby) Goldie. Veronica (Scott) Murphy; two step grandchildren, Timothy (Karen) Croghan and Tasha (Steve) Young; and non great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Duncan; and brother, Kenneth Kier.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral services will follow visitation at 3 p.m. on Wednesday. Bob Stevens will officiate. Rural will follow in Troutwine Cemetery.
