Bonham, Texas -- Graveside services for Eunice Marie Hicks Adams, age 89, of Bonham will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Hampton Cemetery. Rev. Johnny Martin will officiate the service.
Mrs. Adams went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2009 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
Mrs. Eunice Adams was born on August 25, 1920 in Oklahoma to parents D.B. and Nora Davidson Hicks.
Mrs. Adams moved to Bonham in 1972 from Hale Center TX.
She married Coy Adams August 21, 1939 in Durant, OK, he preceded her in death in 1970.
She worked with public schools in the cafeteria. Mrs. Adams has been a resident at Seven Oaks Nursing Home since April 2001. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Bonham.
Survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband-Coy Adams, parents D.B. Hicks and Nora Davidson Hicks. Brother Bob Hicks, sisters-Lilly Simmons, Murtel King and Jane Kennedy of Houston, TX. Ruth Adams, Ruby Rivers of Bonham and Florine Hollenbeck of Dallas, TX.
Mrs. Adams will lie in state at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, for all who would like to come by and sign register, no formal visitation is scheduled.
