Everett D. "Tony" Grissom, 69, formerly of Williams, died Sept. 3 at his residence in Spotsylvania after a long, serious illness.
Tony was a land surveyor in Spotsylvania County for 20 years. He owned and operated the business.
He was a nine-year veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Akiko; his daughter, Ann Spangler and husband Kenny of Culpepper, Va.; his son Brian of Illinois; his sisters, Twila Wease, Janice Lane, Dora Bex and Sandra Hudson, all of Indiana; and his brother Clifford of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Catherine Grissom; his sister, Rita Grissom of Bedford; his brother, Mark Grissom; and sister, Elizabeth Grissom.
Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.
