Bedford – Rita K. Grissom, 63, of 40 Wray Court, Bedford, died at 3:44 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Dunn Memorial Hospital.

Born January 25, 1944, she was the daughter of Harold and Catherine (Hammersley) Grissom. She was a health care provider for many years.

Survivors include one son, Jeremy Grissom of Bedford; two daughters, Carol Prince of Mitchell and Carla Anderson of Bedford; grandchildren, Sarah, Casey, Amanda Anderson, Andrew and Adara Prince, Rea Taylor, Logan and Luke Brummett and Lilly Vest; one great grandchild, Navy Prince; brothers and sisters, Everett Grissom of Virginia, Clifford Grissom and Dora Bex both of Williams, Twila Wease of Mitchell, Sandra Hudson of Owensburg and Janice Lane of Oolitic. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Mark Grissom and one sister, Elizabeth Grissom.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 5th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery near Williams, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 4th and from 2:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
