FROSTBURG,MARYLAND -- Charles Leo Westfall, 71, of Frostburg, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born May 9, 1930 in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Frank F. and Margaret L. Westfall. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lana Smith and one brother, Glenn Richard Westfall. He was a retired automobile technician and truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Methodist by faith.

Surviving are five daughters, Nancy Wolford and husband Harry, Frostburg, Karen S. Burton, Cumberland, Joyce M. Westfall, Frostburg, Vicky Westfall, Jensen Beach, Fla., Cheryl R. Lindner and husband Bryan, Cumberland; one son, Larry Leo Westfall, LaVale; one sister, Dee Ann Stotler and husband Larry, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two brothers, Franklin Eugene Westfall, Cumberland, Bernard William Westfall, Mount Savage; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Wellings officiating.

Interment will be in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone. Military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
