Jane B "Jennie " Montgomery was the daughter of Thomas (1814-1903) and Sarah Ann Brand Montgomery (1830-1880) of Cedar, Iowa. That is where she met and married Lorenz Peter Jesperson in 1856 and married him. They had one child, Kate (who is my great grandmother, Mary Wells sons wife) before Peter went off to the Civil War. He was wounded after a year and sent home in 1862. They moved to Nebraska where Peter started farming in Ashland and that is where they stayed and had the rest of their family. Anna died in 1895 and Peter in 1906. Jane was buried beside them when she died in 1911.~~Jane Councilman Weaver~~~4/1/2011
