Etta Geraldine (West) McMasters, of Greenfield, MO. departed this life on Monday, June 8, 2009 in the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility at the age of 93 years.
She was born on December 22, 1915 in Dade County, MO. to Marvin and Dolly (Kirby) West. Geraldine was united in marriage to Horace McMasters on April 22, 1934 in Cane Hill, MO. She was a member of the Dadeville Baptist Church. Geraldine was a wonderful homemaker. She retired from the Mt. Vernon Rehabilitation Center working in the dietary food service department.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Marvin and Dolly West; her husband, Horace McMasters; one brother, Kyle Thomas West; and one sister, LaVernice Witt.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie Helvey of Greenfield, MO; three sons, Pastor Harold McMasters and his wife Connie of Greenfield, MO, Richard McMasters and his wife Tammy of South Greenfield, MO, and Mike McMasters and his wife Jo Ellen of Willard, MO; two brothers, Rex West of Greenfield, MO. and Winfield Kirby West of Stockton, MO; one sister Marietta Shoemaker of Greenfield, MO; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephens.
Services were at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2009 in Main Street Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Roller and Pastor Duke Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery. Dadeville, MO.
