Nile Franklin Carnes, 91, Camdenton, died Wednesday at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1900, at Brumley, the son of William and Lucy Thompson Carnes. He was married April 19, 1928, to Cleo Nixdorf, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer in Randolph County and a tour guide at Bridal Cave at Camdenton for 20 years before his retirement.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Lucy Wheeler, San Diego, Calif., Betty Sue Strasser, Buffalo, N.Y.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Dr. Bill Masters will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery near Linn Creek. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
