2nd son of Asher & Jane Lane. Lived in Kansas for a time in Rice, married Leatha Jane Cooper while there. He may have been considered a farmer, but he also sheared sheep, traded in hides and sometimes fattened beef; butchered and peddled it in town. He and his family lived in Pettis and St. Clair Counties of Missouri. At the time of his death in 1929, Leander was living in Kansas City with his son Charles.
