My third-great grandfather, Albert Newton Cole, was the son of William Alfred Cole (son of Ebenezer Cole and Mary Romans) and Nancy Maxey (daughter of Edward Maxey and Judith "Juda" White). Albert married his first cousin, Judith "Juda" A. Maxey Dec. 29, 1864 in Warren Co., KY. They had five children together (according to the 1875 Kansas STATE census) before she died (circa 1876): William, John, Sarah Emma, Ida, and David. Albert was a Methodist circuit preacher. He is listed on a Methodist church document as being a preacher in what is now Pushmataha Co., OK, in 1879. It was a challenge to find documentation on him after he and his family left KS to migrate to Indian/Oklahoma Territory.
