Leslie Charles Beach, Gagetown
Died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, at the age of 95. He was born April 9, 1909 in Tuscola County to Alvin and Hattie (Wheeler) Beach. He married Inez Crawford June 23, 1934 in Elmwood Township. She died Aug. 1, 1987.
Leslie farmed his whole life on his grandfather's centennial farm. He also worked at General Cable eight years. He was a life member of Tyler Lodge #317, Cass City and held many offices. Leslie was a member of Gagetown United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Leslie is survived by his sons, Reverend Dr. Stanley (Ellen) Beach of Leesburg, Fla., Ross (Inky) Beach of Mason; grandchildren, Beth Ann (Steve) Jennette, Randy (Sheryl) Beach, Laurie (Charles) Dewey; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew, Adam, Moriah and Andre Ross; sister-in-law, Eunice Gottleber; brother-in-law, George Laur; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton, Keith and sister, Leola Wiscombe.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18 in Gagetown United Methodist Church, Gagetown with Rev. John Heim officiating. Interment is in Grant Township Cemetery, Gagetown. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Kranz Funeral Home of Cass City and 10-11 a.m. Monday in church.
Memorials may be made to the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Kranz Funeral Home of Cass City assisted the family with the arrangements.
