Amelia was the wife of George S. Beers (1837-1926) and daughter of Henry Buck and Sarah Ann Bomberger.

Amelia and George were married on Oct 22, 1868, in Poweshiek County, Iowa and were bless with six children, George H., James F., Henry, Elliot A., Sarah M., and M. A.

On the widow's pension card, for George S. Beers, she signed her name as Pamelia J. Beers.

Amelia Buck was born April 24, 1850 and died September 9, 1929, age 79 years, 4 months and 16 days.

She was born in Pennsylvania and was married to George Beers. To this union were born four children: Mrs. L. D. Whalen, Mr. M. A. Beers, Mr. J. N. Beers and Mr. G. H. Beers. One brother and three sisters survive her: William Buck of Greenwood, Nebr., Mrs. N. C. Miller of Friend, Mrs. Sophia Reams of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Archer of Beaver Crossing.

The funeral services conducted by Mrs. Sophia Rush of Beaver Crossing were held in the Evangelical church at Beaver Crossing at 2 o'clock September 11. The deceased was a member of the Evangelical church for many years. For the last three years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. D. Whalen, now residing in Omaha, Nebr.

After the funeral services the body was laid away in the Leland Cemetery southwest of Beaver Crossing.

All of the children and brother and sisters were present at the funeral.

Besides those mentioned above, the deceased leaves many friends to mourn her departure.

There were a number of beautiful floral tributes of sympathy. May God comfort the bereaved loved ones and friends.
