Miles A. Beers, 73, New Richardson block, Fifth and Nebraska streets, died Sunday in a hospital after an attack of paralysis. A resident of Sioux City for the last 21 years, he was born in Grinnell, Ia., March 10, 1871. He was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Beers married Ellen Danofsky at Creighton, Neb., in 1914. She died two years ago. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church and for 40 years belonged to the Highlanders. Surviving are two stepsons, James Danofsky, Lawton, Ia., and Clinton Danofsky, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, George H. Beers, Motley, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Walen, Westboro, Wis., and a granddaughter and grandson. The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home.

Funeral services for Miles A. Beers, 73, who died Sunday in a hospital of paralysis, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the W. Harry Christy chapel, 711 Myrtle street. Rev. Mr. Close will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
