Daniel Hanson Boyden enlisted on MAR 1862 CSA, Corporal, Carrington's Battery of Charlottesville Artillery. He saw plenty of action, including the Battle of Wilderness and returned home suffering with PTSD, as the family termed it 'shell-shocked'. He was an ordained Episcopal priest (Virgina Seminary, 1870) and he died of stomach cancer in 1871.
