IRMO — Funeral services will be held for Laurie Ann Shows, 63, at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2007, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 5400 Old Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC. Interment to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Project Pet, P.O. Box 1777, Columbia, SC 29202.

Ms. Shows, born in Houston, TX, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Weldon Sawyer, Sr. and Merle Sawyer Wilson. Laurie attended Gateway Baptist Church and was employed by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Ms. Shows is survived by her two daughters, Jaime Shows Norris and Kathleen Shows Hoover; son, David Walker; brother, Joseph W. "Buzz" Sawyer and his wife, Mary Lou. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Savannah Norris, Allison, Payton and Layne Hoover.
