Aryl Naomi Parrish was born on December 18, 1892 in Rockton, Pa. and was the daughter of Anthony and Anna Brubaker Parrish. On May 7, 1914, she married Clarence Ray LaBorde. They had one daughter Anna (Ann) Heloise LaBorde who married James Bashline. Some of Aryl's hobbies were china painting, crocheting and gardening. She also liked to cook, and many of her relatives and friends enjoyed her delicious meals. She shared cookies and homemade buns with her relatives and neighbors. Another pastime of hers was playing the piano. Growing up, she attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Rockton. She and her husband Clarence purchased one of the stained glass windows at the church and were members there when the family lived in Punxsutawney in the early 1930's. The family moved back to Butler in 1933. She and her husband were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Butler. Aryl died on May 19, 1996 at the home of her daughter Ann LaBorde Bashline in Butler, PA.
