William James Bonds, 75 died at 3:45 pm Wednesday in his farm home near Long Creek. His death was due to a complication of diseases.
Born Aug. 6, 1858 near Berlin, Mr. Bonds came to Macon county when a young man and this has been his home ever since. Practically all of his active life was devoted to farming in Long Creek township.
He and Miss Alice Davidson were married in Decatur in 1888. He was a member of the Long Creek Methodist church. He leaves his wife and the following children, Mrs. Frank Vest, Mrs.W.J.Veech,Mrs. O. H. Mahannah, Mrs.Willis Hodge,G.R.Bonds, L. W.Bonds and Orville Bonds all of Decatur. There are 15 grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters and two brothers,Mrs.K.P.Richadson,Monette,Mo, Mrs.Rebecca Davidson,Casner, Frank Bonds, Long Creek and Don Bonds,Cut Bank, Mont.
The body was taken to the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home.
