Mary Johnson, wife of Dr. T.A. Johnson was an invalid and suffered greatly for many years, but was patient, uncomplaining and brave. She knew in whom she believed and was always consious of His sustaining grace and divine comfort. Her life was one of victory in all contests, for she was not only a woman of great common sense, but of good works and triumphant faith. Her life was spent in rearing and equipping her children and doing good to many others. She and her husband reared one of their grandsons, and when he was selected for the army, 1917,it was a terrific blow to her, for she loved him with an undying affection, and though patriotic as any, yet his going away seriously and fatally affected her whole-being. It was while discussing his leaving her the day before, that death suddenly released her loving spirit from the fleshly body and she flew away to her long sought home to join the Savior and the many loved ones in heaven. She entered into that country where sin, trouble, war and farewells are unknown. Her funeral and burial services were conducted in the presence of numerous and devoted friends. She lived well and to profit. She died victoriously and left an imperishable record. She and Dr. Johnson wait for all of us. That will be a glorious meeting.
