Mrs. Ruth FREESE, 79, formerly of R.R. 3, Rochester, died at 6 a.m. today at Centerbury Manor nursing home, where she was a patient the past 2 1/2 years.

Born Jan. 21, 1897 in Marshall county to Frank and Lily WILSON GIBBONS, Mrs. Freese lived her entire life in Marshall county. Her marriage was on Sept. 6, 1917 in Marshall county to Shirley S. FREESE, who died Aug. 2, 1973. She was a member of the Santa Ana United Methodist church near Argos.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) SELLERS, R.R. 1, Culver, and Mrs. Gary (Janette) SELGE, Niles, Mich.; one son, Lloyd [FREESE], South Bend; one sister, Clara GIBBONS, R.R. 3, Rochester; three brothers, L. J. GIBBONS, Argos; Everett GIBBONS, R.R. 1, Culver, and Francis GIBBONS, R.R. 3, Rochester; ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Grossman funeral home, Argos, with the Rev. Roscoe PHENEGER officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery near Argos. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday.
