Louis served as a Staff Sergeant, 64th Bomber Squadron, 43rd Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Baltimore, Maryland prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on June 2, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed in the building of aircraft and also as Single, without dependents.

Louis died in the "Line Of Duty" on New Guinea Island of a non-battle related incident during the war.

He was originally interred in the USAF Cemetery in Brisbane, Australia and was later repatriated here on January 14, 1949.

Louis also has a "Cenotaph" in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Govanstown, Maryland.
