She was a daughter of Fred and Mildred (Drury) Waltz. On May 10, 1952, she married Bill Boedicker, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son-in-law, James Johns, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Toni Waltz, Wapakoneta; and three granddaughters, Jamie (Doug) Maze, Brenda (Dennis) Boysell, and Kristina (Jerry) Lotz; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Deceased was a daughter, Sharon Johns; and a brother, Frederick "Frita" Waltz.

A homemaker, she had owned and operated the former Gloria's Beauty Salon, and later was a supervisor at Fisher Cheese Co., both Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and a graduate of Blume High School, both Wapakoneta. Her hobbies included playing bingo and bird watching.
